A peek inside the story...
Beneath the dune grass, soft as a whisper,
a speckled egg shifts in the sand.
Cra-ck. Wiggle. Peep.
Pip has hatched.
The beach is big. The world is loud.
But Pip is learning—when to run, when to hide,
and how to be brave.
One day, feet thunder near.
A girl slows. She sees the sign.
She lifts the rope and whispers,
“I hope they’re okay.”
Pip peeps. Mama returns.
Safe, small, and still—he’s held by her wings.
